REGISTRATION

Due to the ongoing restrictions relating to the pandemic, CAADRIA 2021 will be organised in an online format, offering the possibility for online attendance and participation via platforms such as Zoom.

While the costs for online participation are lower than in-person conferences in previous years, they represent the significant efforts that are required to organise an online conference, which result in the following benefits for participants:

  • CAADRIA Membership 2021-2022
  • a digital copy of the conference proceedings
  • access to all online events, include keynote lectures, roundtable discussions, virtual networking sessions and virtual tours;
  • for authors: a rigorous, two stage peer-review process offering valuable feedback on your research paper;
  • for accepted authors: inclusion in the conference presentation and sharing sessions, discussing your work with peers and experts in your field;
  • for accepted authors: inclusion of your paper in conference proceedings, which will be made available both online and in research libraries around the world and will be indexed in CUMINCAD, a cumulative index of publications about computer aided architectural design;
  • a selection of accepted papers may be invited for a special issue of the International Journal of Architectural Computing (IJAC) or other affiliated journals.

CAADRIA 2021 Support Grant

POSTGRADUATE STUDENT CONSORTIUM

The CAADRIA Postgraduate Student Consortium provides a supportive setting for feedback on your current research and guidance on future research directions. It offers you comments and fresh perspectives on your work from international academics and students outside your institution. It promotes the development of a supportive community of scholars and a spirit of collaborative research. The Postgraduate Student Consortium is an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues of similar background or interests and from the international community and to explore potential external examiners. Your supervisors don’t have to attend the consortium, but they are invited to join.

The consortium is different from a paper presentation since it addresses your research process and offers you advice on your overall study and progress and explores in more detail your thesis. You present your ongoing research work and results to date. You have the chance to discuss your research in an informal session with peers and experienced academics from your field. Applications should include:

  • An extended abstract or full paper describing work in process and key questions addressed.
  • A one-page curriculum vitae (attached to the end of the paper).
  • Submission Deadline: 21 March 2021
  • Notifications of Acceptance: 23 March 2021
  • All inquiries & submission via email to: caadria.pgsc@gmail.com
